Małgorzata Misiak received her master's degree in 2010 in Chemistry with a specialization in biological chemistry from University of Wrocław and her PhD in Chemistry in 2016 from Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research Polish Academy of Sciences. During PhD studies and after receiving her PhD dr. Misiak worked as Research Assistant and Research Engineer at Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+/Łukasiewicz Research Network - PORT Polish Center for Technology Development. From 2020 dr Misiak is holding Postdoctoral Researcher position at Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research and is a member of Biomedical Physicochemistry Division. The research of Dr. Małgorzata Misiak focuses on the relationship between the structure, morphology and internal architecture of lanthanide-doped nano- /micromaterials and optical properties, including up-conversion luminescence and photon avalanche. Dr. Misiak is also interested in the functionalisation of nanoparticles and their use in the detection of analytes.
